Thank you for the video and updates you sent us whilst we where away, we were reassured constantly of the love and care that you were giving Lajos and Purdie. Puppy Dog Hotel spent a very full day with us and our 3 month old border collie,

Skye, at our home some months ago. We started with the basics of dog training with

the emphasis on consistency in setting and maintaining the ground rules with the dog learning to respect the owner. We then moved on to cover health & grooming, diet, toilet training and hand signals & commands. Puppy Dog Hotel explained everything very clearly and quickly had Skye obeying simple commands both from him and us – I think she enjoyed the day (especially the reward based training) as much as we did! Skye’s now 10 months old and we can see the benefit of Puppy Dog Hotel’s advice. When she’s off the lead on walks she returns immediately if we call or whistle her, even if she’s been distracted by another dog. Other dog walkers have often commented that they wish their dogs come back like that! She obeys the usual commands by voice or hand signal and will do a wee when instructed which is particularly useful when we’re setting off on a long car journey. There’s still work to be done – she still pulls on the lead – but much of this is lack of practice and all down to us. As Puppy Dog Hotel says, training is long term and the dog will often try it on to see what she can get away with. The training day is not cheap, but it’s certainly value for money and has taught us how to train Skye.

Karina and Joe, Just wanted to thank you both again for training Barney. It was a real wrench for us to hand him over but we knew it was the right thing to do. Having the updates via e-mail, watching him on Youtube and especially watching the DVD filled our hearts with joy. Seeing him having so much fun and playing with the other dogs was fantastic. Just what we wanted for him. Your both wonderful kind people, we have nothing but respect and admiration for you both. I know Barney’s already looking forward to his next holiday. Just wanted to say a quick thank you again for taking such good care of Bowser. We've watched the DVD and it looks like he had a wonderful time with all of you and especially with Brody!

He was in a bit of a sulk for most of yesterday after we got home - definitely missing his new friends. He slept through most of the day, and would occasionally wake up, give us a dirty look and go back to sleep! He's back to himself today though and has had lots of compliments

on his nice smell as well - was it the coat conditioner that you used? Thanks again, and hopefully Bowser will see you again soon.

We can't thank you enough for looking after our little yorkie, Fred, for 2 weeks whilst we went on holiday in June!! We were so relieved to find someone that we felt comfortable leaving our beloved puppy with. It was very hard to leave him behind but you made everything so much easier by sending the occasional texts and videos of Fred and his little mates enjoying themselves. Just a short note to thank you once again for looking after Cassie so well - her 3rd visit this year! Our cocker spaniel Cassie is now 4 and has been enjoying her holidays at Puppy Dog Hotel for I think 3 years now - in her first year as a puppy, she, or I should say - we - benefitted enormously from the fantastic 1:1 training at our home and now she/we really appreciate the care and the fun she has when she goes to stay with them. Cassie gets so excited when we pull up in the car to drop her off, she knows exactly where she is and literally gallops as fast as her legs can carry her to be reunited with Joe and Karina and meet up with her doggy friends! We cannot recommend Puppy Dog Hotel highly enough - I feel we are leaving Cassie with our friends - and their approach is so personal and so caring to us as well as Cassie. Looking forward to many more Puppy Dog Hotel holidays!

I feel very lucky to have found Joe and Karina to care for my puppy whilst I work and also for holiday cover. It is rare to find anyone who loves their job, let alone a couple who live to care for other people's pets. Charlie is cared for as one of the family and loves their company. The care is second to none; Joe and Karina are professional, honest and extremely effective in what they do; I feel totally confident to leave my pet at the puppy dog hotel.

I have known Karina and Joe for over 4 years, at that time I had a Cairn terrier and Skye a golden retriever and there were some problems in the household with training the golden retriever. A friend who had had help from Joe and Karina suggested that I should seek help from them, which I did. This was a turning point in the relationship between Skye and me. Karina and Joe came to assess Skye and I could see from the first moment that Skye recognised that they understood and cared and Skye responded very well. Both Joe and Karina have this caring, understanding and love for dogs, and also understanding, patience and caring for the dogs owners. Karina takes Skye dog walking now. Meeting Joe and Karina was the very best thing I did for Skye and for me.

Hi Joe & Karina, Well, what can I say? You are a legend!!! I followed your advice and we have had two fantastic nights! The first night he went through from 12:30 til 6 when we went downstairs (no accidents and not a sound!). Last night he did have a little wee but he was in his crate for longer (11-6.20), but again, not a peep! What a little star! This has had a knock-on effect with him being more settled and playing happily on his own. It's obviously made us more relaxed which obviously benfits the three of us! I really cannot thank you enough. Your advice was invaluable and the service that you provide is outstanding. You were an absolute life saver to me on Monday night. I just wanted to let you know what a success your recall training of Aussie has been. She is now the model dog. I can take her on lake walks, woodland walks etc whatever and she never needs to go on the lead as she always comes back when I blow the whistle you gave me. We are now both so happy on our walks. Dear Joe and Karina, First of all, thank you for spending so much of Sunday with us, you are a magician! We learned more in one session than all the weekly puppy training classes put together and are now endeavouring to put all the training into place. So far so good, Cassie is so much better on the lead and is responding well to 'sit' and 'wait' especially around feeding times and going out in the garden. The sofa and hall and running upstairs will need more work! Our Joe is much better with Cassie too, he's been feeding her in the evenings, has brushed her (under supervision) and they've been playing together in the garden. It was so nice to be away from her and know that she was being well looked after and having fun! I am totally obsessed with her and I missed her so, so much. Dear Karina, Joe, Kira and Amelia, I wanted to write a note of thanks to you all for looking after Miley over the last week. We have been extremely lucky to find such a wonderful family to leave our beloved Miley with. As you know, I missed Miley very much and was not sure about being without him for a whole week, but after seeing the videos that you posted on YouTube of Miley and his friends having such a wonderful time, it put my mind at ease. He seems to have had such a lovely time at the puppy dog hotel that I almost felt guilty about bringing him home! We loved reading his report sheet about his daily activities and the advice given on his general care was very useful and will be of great help. I also want to say how well behaved and calm he has been since he has been back. I have been keeping up your good work with the whistle, as I noticed that he comes back when I blow the whistle and sits down right in front of me! His lead work has also improved and he doesn't even pull me up to the park anymore. All in all Miley has come back a very contented dog, who is much more settled and not worried about where I am at every minute of the day.

This is great. Finally, thanks to Joe for the fantastic pictures

he has taken. The service you provide is excellent and so

much more than we expected. I would highly recommend the

puppy dog hotel and I simply would not leave Miley with

anyone else. I look forward to booking Miley in again in the

Hi Karina, Just a note to say thank you once again for looking after Merlin, it was so nice to read his ‘’report’’ and see his DVD and to know that he is such good hands. We just wouldn’t even consider leaving him with anyone else whilst we were away – it is so nice to feel reassured that he is getting lots of love and attention and having just as good a holiday as we are !! He was a bit sulky on Sunday when he got back, after leaving Molly but is fine now. I have got a cheque ready to post to you for the deposit for next year – no idea where we are going but would rather make sure we get you before you are booked up !!!! Dear Karina, Joe & Amelia, Thank you so much for looking after Charlie and Molly with such care last week. Especially with all the medication that poor old Charlie is on! They certainly looked a picture of health when I picked them up and very happy, not sure they really wanted to come home. Molly is definitely missing her playmate Herbie. Dear Karina and family. Thank you so much for looking after our puppy Lola, while we were away over half term. We were worried leaving her at such a young age, but you did a fantastic job. All my concerns mentioned to you when we left her have now been dealt with, with your expertise and great advice. We have not had one 'accident' since collecting her over two weeks ago so I think you cracked this for us! As well as generally training her, especially with her recall out in the park I can now confidently let her off the lead and know she will come back to us. She now sits and lies beautifully using only hand signals....Everyone around me is truly impressed! Your whole family have a fantastic way and know how with dogs. Oscar is now much calmer, and has stopped the habit of scratching at visitors, which made him unpopular. The change is amazing! Thank you Karina and family for the wonderful care you gave to Loius my 5 month old puppy.During his stay the family helped Louis build his confidence and socialise with larger dogs. Everyday they complete a health check which fortunatly for Louis spotted an ear infection that was causing him some discomfort and quickly dealt with the minor infection. 7 October 2008. I wanted to thank you for taking such loving care of Miller while we were away, and for all the training and training tips. He is doing very well although I must try and book in a few sessions to try and keep up your good work. I have cancelled all the other training he was booked to do as we just seemed to be confusing Him  and to be truthful it wasn’t doing any good and costing a fortune. I hope you don’t mind but I have given your number to a friend of ours, although your probably overwhelmed already I said he should give you a ring if he wanted the best! As soon as Paul knows next years holiday I will try and get Miller in with you again. Hopefully talk to you soon.

As a family we have known Puppy Dog Hotel - aka the Hearn family - for 4 years when they started attending our Astronomy meetings in London's Regent's Park. All of us - including our Eurasier dog Emma, then only a puppy & now approaching 5 years old - took to them straight away and  their natural ability to read & communicate with Emma immediately impressed us.

Puppy Dog Hotel is the only place we will leave Emma if we have to go away without

her. It's more than peace of mind. Emma always comes back refreshed, happy, and a little fitter & healthier! The Hearn family's obvious life-long passion for what they do is clear from the first meeting. What you get as a service from PDH is far more than the sum of the parts. Their experience and general overview of your dog's health, combined with their vast knowledge, means that you - and your four-legged friend - can enjoy your respective vacations. Highly recommended.

Thank you for the DVD it is a lovely momento of Percy's stay with you.

It was great to receive such a detailed report of Percy's time with you. He's a very sociable dog and enjoys lots of fuss so I'm sure with your special care and attention he will have enjoyed his stay with you very much! I have no doubt that he will be very excited to see you all again when he arrives for his next visit! It's good to know that Percy now has a home from home where he can be safe and happy and a lovely time whenever we have to leave him.

I just want to thank you so much for helping me with Sunny and turning our World around, I can't believe the difference you've made to our lives! As you know, I adopted Sunny from the Soi Dog Foundation in Thailand, where she had lived from a puppy, having been found with her mother and siblings hiding under a shop next to a busy road! Luckily Soi Dog were alerted and a Rescue Officer went and picked them up.She became available for adoption when she was two and a half and came to live with me in August last year. She was very timid and frightened of the smallest thing and I never thought I would be able to help her overcome all her problems! That's when I was recommended to contact Puppy Dog Hotel and they came on the scene to help!  At the end of the day, it turned out I was 90% of the problem and once it was explained, I totally agreed! I realised that I was trying to keep her in Thailand and replicating what her life was like there, I was so wrong! Puppy Dog Hotels favourite saying was "I've got to move her on, she's not in Thailand anymore" and once I took that advice on board, we haven't looked back ! There's still a way to go and it's now up to me, but everyday shows an improvement.  I'm so grateful and so is Sunny; she is really starting to enjoy her new life. Thank you for the wonderful support you have given us, the dedication you show towards animals is amazing and I couldn't have asked for better help.

We are delighted with the first class service we get from Karina and Joe. We know Leila is in good hands with them because instead of being depressed and playing up she is now a happy dog who only wants to curl up and sleep on her pad at night: God knows how tired (Puppy Dog Hotel staff) they must be at the end of the day! What we really appreciate is the daily feedback we get from Puppy Dog Hotel as it really gives us peace of mind. We could not recommend the Puppy Dog Hotel more warmly as you know your dog will be looked after by dog lovers not people just running a business.

Thanks for looking after Sophie! It was so reassuring to know that she was being taken care of by such lovely people. I can tell she had a blast with the other dogs too, she's pretty sleepy today! I know it's done her so much good to get the interaction with new dogs outside of her usual circle, she was extra social on her morning walkies and wanted to play with everyone! I can't recommend you highly enough and I know that Sophie will be so excited when she comes back to stay! Sophie sends you all a big kiss.

Thank you so much Joe and Karina for giving Elsa such an amazing time, and for allowing me to have an amazing time too, knowing that she was in such safe and caring hands. Even better, however, was the pristine, new and improved, version of Elsa that you gave back to me – totally calm and happy, and a changed dog (for the better) on the lead. She has always been a bit of a “tugger” out on the lead, but now, thanks to the work you did while I was on holiday, she is pretty much close to the dream walker (perfect heel nearly every time!). So, again, thank you so much. It’s more than just a stay, clearly, it’s a game changer.

Firstly can we take this opportunity to thank all of you for the love, care and help you have given us with Mia (our slightly dysfunctional Collie). When we got her she was damaged and terrified of the world (including us) due to the mistreatment she had suffered. Your help, tips to 'bring her around' and impressing on us the all important feeding routine, taught us and Mia so much. We still use these routines daily which have built her confidence and obedience. She runs into your house when she stays with you,  and it is your home from home for her which makes us happy to go away without worrying about her. The photographs and updates you send when we are away make us smile and show us just how much she settles in and is cared for. The reports and feedback when we collect  Mia help us to continue to support her continuing progress into such a loving and happy family dog, which, without you all we don't think would have been achieved.

We rescued our 5 month old cross breed Leo from dogs trust in February 2018. Unfortunately we had a three week holiday already booked in June and were very concerned what we were going to do with our new boy.We found Puppy Dog Hotel on line and contacted them to see if we could get him booked in. We wanted him to have a home from home environment as he had been through so much in his short life already. We visited Karina & Joe in April and was totally bowled over by what they do for their canine visitors. Leo stayed with them in June and had the best time. He was treated like their own dog and stayed in their house and was well cared for and loved. On our return Joe & Karina gave us a fantastic video of his time there, but also sent us photos and videos whilst we were away, which really put our mind at rest. I don’t think there is anywhere better that you could send you dog while you are away.

Puppy dog hotel has been the best investment we have made for our dog. Humphrey just loves going there, but also Karina and Joe have taught me so much about dog ownership and care. Humphrey went for his training holiday in February, and it made a big difference. Since then, Humphrey had had two holidays and regular dog boarding/day care. I know Humphrey loves it, because I park down the road and he tugs me all the way to the front door. I cannot recommend puppy dog hotel highly enough, I really believe that Humphrey is as happy there, as he is at home.

Thank you so much for taking such great care of Millie during our recent holiday. Today I watched the DVD you made for us and it is clear she had a wonderful time. She was exhausted on Friday after I picked her up and spent most of the day sleeping in her bed.  Unfortunately I think she is going to find life at home quite mundane compared to her stay with you! Perhaps I need to get another dog so has a housemate to play with all day long! Thanks also for the updates whilst we were away, it was reassuring to see that she was in such great company.
